|
| Hello << Test First Name >>,
Soft Ride is currently in North Carolina geared up for an exciting weekend at the Equine Sport Medicine Symposium hosted by the Carolina Equine Sports Medicine Education Foundation. We are thrilled to experience this gathering of cutting-edge professionals delivering thought-provoking lectures and exhibits in beautiful Pittsboro, NC. The event zeroes in on metabolic and muscle conditions, offering rich, interdisciplinary insight from leading speakers including Will Faudree, Jane Manfredi, Sammy Pittman, Lauren Schnabel, Meg Ramos, Stephanie Valberg, and Brian Pietrosimone.
The symposium is open to veterinarians, farriers, horse-care providers, and interested equestrians, and offers 14 hours of CE credit for veterinary professionals and 12 hours for farriers—underscoring its practical value to both clinical and hoof-care disciplines. Dr. Sammy Pittman—a renowned veterinarian-farrier expert—will present on hoof health, lameness rehabilitation, laminitis management, and advanced shoeing mechanics, which brings a welcome focus on soundness and podiatry. This event beautifully embodies the symposium’s mission: fostering collaboration between veterinarians and farriers to enhance performance horse care, support podiatry research, and fund educational scholarships through the Carolina Equine Sports Medicine Education Foundation Equine Sports Medicine Symposium. Soft Ride is proud that our support helps drive this invaluable work forward, promoting hoof health, soundness, and the highest standards of equine sports medicine.

| | Texas Equine Veterinary Association Summer Symposium Wrap Up |
|
| | | We spent the first weekend in August at Horseshoe Bay to attend and sponsor the 2025 Summer CE Symposium at Horseshoe Bay Resort, where equine practitioners from across the region gathered for three days of education and connection. The event covering everything from foal care and pre-purchase exams to advanced neurologic evaluation. Beyond the lectures, it was inspiring to celebrate scholarship recipients, honor dedicated volunteers, and support the Texas Equine Foundation at the fundraising gala. While this year’s sessions focused more on neurology than lameness or hoof health, the knowledge shared will undoubtedly strengthen the standard of equine care across the profession. |
